I use TCPMP a fair bit, as it seems to be fairly good for playing the majority of video files, with little hassle.

Also a user of TCPMP here, along with PocketdivXEncoder for snipping down larger video files.

I use MortPlayer for MP3s. The play/pause/skip buttons are a wee bit larger than TCPMP, so easier to fiddle with when you're on the move. The add tracks button is tiny though, so best arrange your playlist before you leave!

I use TCPMP as well. Great media player.
Used to use Avantgo, for reading news on the go. Sync up overnight on channels that you are interested in and read on way to work eg.

I use TCPMP for video. For audio i use Conduits Pocket Player. It costs a tenner to buy, but if you play a lot of audio like me it worth it. The best audio player by far.

I also use opera, kicks IE's arse (especially with Java script etc).

I have tried just about every task manager, including SPB pocket plus, and have found the best to be InClose.

I also run TomTom 6 and Memory Map.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Resco File Explorer. It's the must have app for WM5, actually makes the OS and file system usable. Totally essential.

Also worth a look is MemMaid, for freeing up memory, reg cleaning etc and generally making things better and faster.

Ooo yes. Can't believe I forgot TomTom 6. Very very handy to have (and impresses people when everyone's lost and your phone comes to the rescue).

I use Resco File Explorer and it is superb. Also comes with a handy registry editor.

If you read your email via POP3 I recommend Profimail.

Pocket Rar - the pocket pc version of Winrar is excellent too.
