Could you move Linux/Other either into two options, or just Other, please? Coz thats quite annoying to us Mac users

Use 2k at work, and XP at home only because the laptop I use at home came with XP (used to use 2k at home too); absolutely hated W98, it just disliked me and the computer I tried to run it on.

Right now I'm on my iBook because its the lappy I chose to bring away on holiday with me! Using OSX 10.2.6; will get 10.3 when I can afford it.

Linux is just...too hard. It never happens that enough is integrated into the display manager to be able to configure from there with the patchwork computers I usually use, and while command line is ok, I just don't have the history with it that I do with DOS...so I tinker occasionally, then it doesn't work, so I go back to 'doze...sigh.

Might get me a new Amiga when OS 4.0 comes out!
    Well Hello!

It's nothing to do with the card itself, that worked fine - it's the software that came with the card (Cakewalk, etc.) that refused to work.

Hmm, definitely something you're doing. Windows XP is great, utter magic. Although DirectX 9b + SP1a on XP pro still prevents GTA3 from working properly.

No, that update can't install because SP1a came out between it's release and the time i'm trying to play GTA3 (now )

    Hmmm

I use 2k Pro for stability and Xp for games as 2k doesn't have a "proper" version of DirectX.

I currently use Windows XP Proffesionnal, And Linux. On dual boot.

Linux is good in a way, But also has its downpoints. Still, its good fun.

I see no point in using things like ME/2000 either.

I really like Win XP Pro.

I never really liked Win 2K, only used it briefly, don't really know why, either. Odd.

Only stopped using Win98SE about a month ago, I was running some old games on one machine but decided it's perhaps time to leave the past in the past.

Also tinkering with Mandrake 9.1, slowly finding my way around.

still stuck on windows2000 as i cant justify buying windowsXP when 2k does everything i need it to.. i guess i'll have to move over to the 64bit version of windows if/when i upgrade to a 64bit athlon, but until them 2k will stay on my machine

2k Pro here. Like other comments, I don't like how it tries to do everything for you and keeps you away from the nuts and bolts.

Kids machine has XP Home and I still can't network them!

I have no problem with bluetooth on 2k Pro.

I hav to say tho, I cant find much wrong with XP pro, playes games like a dream for me.
