have used xp since it was first release. currently have xp pro as i like the extra stabilty plus the security features.
to the four people using windows 98:
don't forget microsoft is cutting your support on the sixteenth of january
i like windows xp, not because i use it - i would hate that. i like it because being windows 5.1 (i think) it has meant manufacturers are making lots of drivers for me on windows 2000 (windows 5.0).
be interesting to see what lornhorn (windows 6) will be like...

win2k is windows NT 5.0 and xp 5.1
All OSes since ME (not inclusive) have moved away from the 9x kernels onto the NT kernels.
