Funny to see my wife's FX6350+RX480 machine at number 5. She doesn't actually read Hexus but is happy to contribute. But then I spend enough time on here for the two of us

Today I convinced someone to stop folding for PCMR and join us, though I don't know how active they'll be. Maybe the idea of chasing my points will provide some incentive...

I've got a work unit which got finished and has nowhere to go, no collection server, for maybe 3 hours. Restarting the client when I got up didn't help. :/

They must just be getting hammered.

Apparently the network is over 1500 petaflops now, which is quite something! Is there a centralised way of tracking the network's compute power? It would be interesting to see how much it has grown in recent months.

Re: The new Hexus Teams - Setting up Folding at Home

I haven't had the client on anything close to 24/7 but I don't seem to have had any new units in a while now. Has anyone else been struggling the past couple of days?

Mine seems to have a reasonably constant supply, working on a GPU unit right now.

Nope, been performing well actually of late, even that work unit I had stuck sending managed to fire off and earn me its last 50k points.

My biggest problem is keeping the girlfriend on board with the humming and glowing from the corner of the room..

Re: The new Hexus Teams - Setting up Folding at Home

I'm back too, older and wiser. 6 core AMD + GTX 1060, and a crappy 4 core intel at work plugging away. How does the software run with AMD GPU's these days?

Re: The new Hexus Teams - Setting up Folding at Home

AMD GPUs should work fine. I struggled to find any decent benchmarks when I looked a few weeks back but I think both brands perform well now. Sadly F@H benchmarks seemed to fade from popular benchmarks when crypto mining took over, but they never really reappeared when that died off either.

Didn't check the link but I can tell you they all work fine except for Navi, RDNA 1 didn't have the required OpenCL driver support in the first many revisions of the driver installer, maybe it still doesn't.
