Hello,
I'm working on a project at present, using Flash. I've created 6 animations, which will be used as a teaser/marketing campaign for computer users in my organisation. Work for a local council and the PCs are fairly locked down - no installs, downloads, etc.
The idea is that the animation will play as soon as users log into their system.
I've had a discussion with our IT techies and we were looking at how to deliver this. I can't guarentee all users have Flash player installed - the only way I can play it is to run it in internet explorer.
Anyway, I suggested exporting the flash SWF to a standalone flash projector EXE file. In theory, this will eliminate the need to have flash player installed and will be easy for the user to close.
Anyone got any similar experience of using Flash exe files or similar?
My plan B was to run an instance of IE in kiosk mode, make up an HTML file with the Flash SWF embedded, and incorporate a close button.
muchos gracias.
