Vista Readyboost question

Im looking to install Vista soon and I wanted to know if anyone is using USB memory for readyboost?
I will be using 2gb (4x512mb) of ram and Vista 32bit.

My understanding is that the additional memory will act as the pagefile/virtual memory and thus is like an additional stick of ram. I want to know whether it is effective and are there any recommended sticks to go for?

(I've got my eye on an OCZ Vboost 2gb stick)

From the reports ive seen... Readyboost will have very little to no difference on a system that already has 2gb ram... its mainly for systems with 1gb or less.

I've got 2Gb of RAM and a 1Gb stick used for ReadyBoost when it's not being used otherwise. Honestly though? It doesn't make a toss of difference, I just like to see the flashy light on the stick flickering away

I've always assumed that the ready boost feature isn't really that useful as the speed at which most modern HDDs can read and even write is generally faster than any USB based memory, correct me if I'm wrong though. I suppose on older systems it might make a difference, but I'd have thought that any new PC that comes Vista wouldn't need it (and you wouldn't really want want to run it older systems anyway)

I think it's mostly intended for laptops, since they come with really sluggish HDDs.
