Don't frat, if FAH manage to get a working 8800 client that works properly, it'll cream the PS3

lets not get into the debate on that yet....though frankly I doubt an 8800 will ever beat a PS3 at Folding.

I think i'm right insaying that the PS3 can only cope with certain types of WUs though, some are not easy to do on stream processors. Core2Quads on the other hand can do anything you through at them.

    Uploaded another WU this morning

Once all my machines are working properly, I can chuck about 30k +/- 3000ish a week to that. Just h aving a few teething problems, but I'm on it!

You do know it only uses idle CPU time? If your machine is busy doing other stuff, then folding will give way to it.

Its the only program that blue screens Vista 64(8800 drivers probably) and have been using it on XP for the last four days.
I must get some work done on the Vista side so it has to stop for now.

Ah yes, in theory... unless your machine gets it's knickers in a twist...like mine.

Mine gets upset when I've got Photoshop, Dreamweaver, email, ftp and various web browsers open at the same time as folding...

Lol, looking at that list, I suspect your machine has run out of memory, which is why it's not happy. In the advanced options, you can tell folding to use a maximum amount of ram. Half the physical RAM installed in the machine is normally a good measure.

    Cheers,
    Stephen

So, is a high end X1900 faster than a PS3?

Also, seems I uploaded a WU this morning but it hasn't been able to obtain a new one to work on, anybody else have this issue?
