    Re: Hijack this log

Ok..well I have done all the above apart from it wont allow me to take out the O10 lines and asks me to Spybot them. I cant download Spybot...every time I try, the screen takes me back to the homepage again and holds the windows until it says it has to close Internet Explorer. It is also saying that I have some issues with Panda also, which is why I downloaded AVG. I will post up another log which may explain what I have said in more technical terms...

    Re: Hijack this log

Do you need to have Daemon tools, skytel, Quicktime (qttask.exe), ituneshelper, msnmessenger, adobe (reader_sl.exe), AppleMobileDeviceService.exe (used for Apple TV and iphone), IDriverT.exe (itunes 5), iPodService.exe, run at start up? Each one is eating system resources. I would stop these from starting by doing the following

Click Start > click run > type msconfig > click startup tab > uncheck those progs > ok (nothing to worry about by doing this btw)

I believe that itunes stuff can also be adjusted from the control panel or use Computer Services in XP to choose eg

right click My Computer > Manage > Services and Applications (small cross) > Services > then right click the entry > click Properties > and from the drop down menu choose manual

WgaLogon.dll - is windows genuine advantage stuff and you can manually get rid of this process if you want to.

It seems you have alot of Apple itunes crap installed - you have to be a bit careful with this because they do tend to be resource hogs and they like to install other crap on the PC surreptitiously. Panda anti-virus suite seems to be running alot of stuff too. I don't think you have any spyware/virus it just seems that there is a lot of stuff running and you had two anti-virus/firewalls running which won't help.

Run ccleaner aswell, the link is above. I'd also do a defragment on your drives too.
