Just wondering what the legalities are of buying OSX Leopard and shoving it on my MSI Wind? Is leopard only sold as an upgrade, or is it full retail? Theres some quiet good guides and custom instal disks on the wind forums but wanted to check that it legal, and we are able to discus it here.

As far as I am aware, the Apple EULA still requires that it is installed on an Apple machine?

It doesn't need to be tested to be honest. The rights are owned by Apple so they state thatit can only be installed on an Apple based system. Stupid, I know.

Considering how easy it is getting to be to put osx on a normal pc, i am sure it wont be long before this goes to court with someone..
it is going to court with someone. a company selling osx desktops and servers is being sued for it

If there's no presidence set for the legality of that section of the EULA, then it isn't illegal yet. Companies don't get to make up laws, remember? As much as I'm sure they'd love to, they have no legislative authority. Personally I'd be happy if Apple made OS X available to generic PC hardware, they charge far too much for far too little as far as hardware is concerned.
I already dual boot my main rig with ubuntu, just fancy having a play with osx.
Think a macbook pro might cost a bit more than the price of the wind
AFAIK Apple uses EFI on their systems - so would OSx install, yet alone boot, on a bog standard MBR achitecture machine? (Not particularly familiar with EFI)

PC-BIOS support is already in there, has been since the start, it's just (purposely) disabled in OS X.
