how to sort win7 dual boot

i installed win7 on a spare drive this afternoon,

    drive 1 = xp
    drive 2 = 7
    drive 3 = data
    drive 4 = temp raid 0

if i turn on the pc on it looks to the xp drive as it should and boots straight to xp without a boot manager.

if i use the F8 to let me select the boot manager and pick drive 2 for win7 i get the insert system disk error,

it turns out the boot loader for win7 is on drive 3 so i have to pick that to boot win7, but theres no dual boot option.

question is, how to i get the boot manager onto drive 1 and giving me the dual boot option on startup ?

I've just put 7 on, and it gives me the dual boot screen the same as vista did.
    drive 1-xp
    drive 2-7
    drive 3-data
