Yeah, I saw that. It deals with more stuff, but you still need one disc per default desktop env. I guess I'm just too used to the flexibility with sysrescuecd/gentoo. One LiveUSB stick to cover nearly all scenarios and both x86 and x86_64.

I could probably knock together a combined ubuntu/kubuntu livedvd in an afternoon (just stick the squashfs for both on the dvd & use isolinux to select one)

I installed it and it runs alot smoother for me that 8.10 but video playback doesn't seem to work very well.

Cool, I will update my mini 9 when I get home. I just got it recently and replaced the slow bloaty XP that came on it with ubuntu- much better!

What is the best way to upgrade an install? Is there a sudo command?

Menthel, there is actually an official netbook remix now so that might be worth a look? I may download it later and give it a try on my Eee.

Thinking of installing this on my old PC. It is currently running XP SP3 but I barely use it. Haven't been able to network my new Vista PC and the XP PC either so I'm hoping Vista to Ubuntu would be easier to network.
