fulscreen flickers

Hello,
I have new computer windows 7 and an old monitor from my old comp Ezio Flexscan L578. But on this new one when I turn megavideo on full-screen it start flickering. Today it also started flickering on fulscreen on windows media player. Does anyone know how to fix it ? Thank you for your help

Just for curiosity try "sfc /scannow" in command prompt with admin privs.

Also do you have a graphics card? Try increasing the refresh rate. This flicker happens on my XP (partitioned) but not my Windows 7. I would of thought its due to personalisation settings such as flicker rate on the video card.

Update video card also.

Double check your cables are pushed in all the way. I had a vga lead being wobbly in the back of my monitor the other day. I took out my graphics card, re seated it, messed around. Realised I just needed to push my cable in...
