Converting media to just audio

Hi

Anyone know of any software that will take just the audio off a video CD ROM?
I want to be able to capture just the audio to put on disc to listen in the car.

I cant think of anything for VCD's off the top of my head (maybe winamp can open them?) but with XMPlay (http://www.un4seen.com) I was able to open mpg files and it would just play the audio, I could then output the audio to a wav file and convert from there.
