yeah i guess it would make sence for them to make one,
I think they are already producing one (it's been expected of them since they bought an AV firm a while back anyway), but they can't include it in windows because of Anti Trust Laws.
what do they mean by anti trust laws? and why can't they include it?
so including an internet explorer and a firewall and a defrag tool is ok!? seems a bit messed up to me. if they have everything else then why not an AV. Its probably the most important anyway. crazy laws...

The way i see it they shouldnt have one rule for one app and another rule for another. It makes no sense that way. Either allow MS to bundle whatever they wish or not to bundle any extras at all. Either way it should be made easy for the average pc user to access free versions.

the laws are crazy! if one company is in a postion to be able to make a product they feel is better then they should be able to
Noticed some peeps talking about newer versions of sp2, can you get a up-to-date version as a fresh new installer eg get the latest ver through v5, or do you have to like get the final release candidate then update through that ?
Cheers, Dave.

i see your point but, i reckon MS could make the best AV software, that works best with windows and worked best at keeping out virus'sOriginally Posted by Agent
