Problems sending emails in Outlook

I am trying to send mail in Outlook but I keep getting the error

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'XXX@hotmail.com'. Subject 'Re: Moving to Canada from XXX', Account: 'mail.my-bulldog.com', Server: 'mail.my-bulldog.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 not local host hotmail.com, not a gateway', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

Can anyone explain this please.

Sounds like your SMTP server address is wrong, or the mail server you are using is having a problem.

I assume you get the problem regardless of who you address the mail to?

Change any of your settings recently, or does your mail provider have a "current status" page anywhere?

Well i will see if there is another smtp address I am with bulldog dsl.
