    recommended Photoshop memory usage settings

I've been using PS for god knows how long but never really worried about this. recently read something tho that has caused me to pause and wonder if i'm using the right settings. surrently on cache levels = 4, memory usage is 50% (or 512mb ram of my total 1gig)...
so, whats the recommended settings? what do you use?

I don't think I have changed mine fromt he default, That is Cache Levels = 4, and Maxium Memory Used = 60% (1gb total memory).

Currently using 78mb of RAM while editing a few small images.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

Depends how intensive the work you do is.

But in general as much as your willing to spare, you only setting a boundry for it not to cross, so if your editing small files it will only use a small amount of memory anyway.
