windows media player expert required

Hi guys, hope someone can help.

Just got a new machine and yesterday copied all my music from my old machine on to CD and then imported them on to my new machine. However, when I try to access a song on media player it tries to log my on the internet. As I don't have an internet connection yet in my new flat this is impossible. Any ideas much appreciated. Might be worth telling you that I haven't yet officially activated windows so though there might be some issue with the license. Anyway, thanks in advance, Dave.

Use winamp

Winamp is the best, especially with Real/Quicktime Alternative installed. But, I suggest if you want to stop Windows Media Player logging onto the internet, go into its tools then options and disable the 'connect to the internet' and 'display media information from the internet' and all of the 'license aqquiring' options.
