Everyone knows about the Anti IE web pages and their icons and banners promoting Firefox, but what's this all about with the Anti Firefox pages and icons??
I noticed this in Xcelsion's avatar and sig and couldn't believe it. We all know that Firefox is safer than IE, it's patched quicker than IE (which is lucky to be updated after a few months) and has better features and plug-ins, so I just wondered why people are trying to belittle Firefox?
Probably people get fed up with it being forced doen their throats all the time. I used it for 6 months, got fed up with i and moved to Avant. Its based on IE but has loads of features, additional security, plugins, etc. Actually you dont need all the plugins as loads of stuff is built in.

It was fixed in 3 or 4 days last time a major flaw was announced. Pretty good if you ask me...

Exactly, so why are people doing this 'dump FF, get IE' site? Makes no sense, unless they're made by MS to try and get people back?
Funny thing is, had a quick look at the forums there, and people were promoting FF and saying how better it was than IE.

Well, its each to their own, different users prefer different things from a browser, I started using Firefox just after Christmas and have to admit I like the way it handles and doesnt have the flaws that IE has so have stuck with it. I have in the past used Netscape, Avant and Operah, always keep my mind open and go with what I feel happiest with until something else comes along that takes my fancy !
I agree Ferral. Everyone can use what they want. But when security is concerned, I can't understand why they are starting a hate campaign against a 'proven' secure browser that is every bit as easy to use as IE. If it's a bunch of people who just dislike the popularity of Firefox then that's fine, but why suggest a less secure browser?
That's why I started the thread. Would love to hear Xcelsion's input.

After a launch if the product is good enough it will take off, if not it will die.
Netscape was a prime example of this, used to be strong, went of the rails, mozilla picked up, mozilla grew to launch the firefox/thunderbird range
A lot is down to personal preference - and thats how it should stay. Developers fighting to win market share by offering great products, with stable features that are what people want and need
It is Inevitable.....
