Or, as I said, it's a free physics API I don't think it was ever primarily designed for PPU's, it just came about that way. novodex is the most popular physics API available for free though

I was half asleep when talking to you last night, damn my new comfy bed.

I like the way they make the SDKs available, but if you're right, how are they to be tested?

What do you mean how are they tested? It's just a library, it works the same way as physics in games do now except the processing will be done on the PPU and the actual libraries will be called from a different place on your computer i guess.

Novodex was definitely never aimed at PPU's at all. It was aimed at people who were making games engines as it's actual really bad to make an open source games engine, it should always be a module for an engine so it's more flexibile. It's a tool that can be used for anything really

I mean how do people developing for the PPU test it?

I'd love to be able to test it on an actual unit, since the PPU does handle over 1000x more objects then the CPU, I can't see how normal FOSS developers can experiment.

I wouldn't of imagined large corporations using novodex, i thought they would have gone for havok but meh, i wouldn't know intricate details about either
