    Quicktime Without Itunes

    Hello all,

I'm trying to download and install quicktime on an windows platform

Apple started doing a dirty trick where you had to download itunes to get quick time, then uninstall itunes to be left with quicktime on its own, they have now got wise to this and you don't seem to be able to uninstall itunes without removing quicktime.

I'm not keen to have itunes on this system, nor do I want to use quick time alternates.

Can you get quicktime on its own/remove itunes leaving quicktime ?

    thanks

The K-Lite Mega Codec Pack contains practically every video and audio codec you're likely to ever use, all standard codecs, can use em in practically any video player.

    Hope it helps.

    Some good responses though.

As it turns out the latest package is seperatable, however the installer/uninstaller was just "missleading"

    thanks for the responses.

    mmmmmmm... mplayer *chokes on drool*

fantastic quality output, on par with DivX player (my 9600XT has onboard DivX decoding). except it decodes by software and it supports nearly every codec.

    Whats wrong with quicktime alt?
The reson I use it is quicktime doesnt allow you to watch anything in full screen. By using media player classic, you can.
