    Buying a Hosting Server..Please Advise

    Hi,

Right i going to buy my own hosting server for my clients and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. I was recommended by a friend to go for: Fast Servers http://www.fastservers.net/products-services/ and was looking at the Velocity PX for $199 p/m. I thought i would go with this system and also this company because the support is supposed to be very good. So i wanted to put to everyone.

A: Have you ever heard of this company. If so are they good?
B: Do you know any other companies who are better?

    Cheers,
    RealM

What will you be using it for? I'd say it hasn't got enought RAM to match the processor so the processor will (under many uses, not all) spend a lot of time waiting for disk.

I'd also say that if I were looking to spend that kind of money I'd be talking to Rackspace, their support is legendary.

Argeed, 512 seems a little low for the CPUs.

    I'd also expect SCSI drives.
