Spacemonger: how I love this app..

Every once in a while I find an app which really makes me go wow - and then turns out to be useful too.. I highly recommend you give this a try; if you're anything like me then you've got 100's of mb's of cr@p you never even knew about on your hard drive..

It's a bit bewildering at first but it tracked down a few problems on various PCs for me (like I had over a GIG of firewall logfiles I didn't know about).

Absolutely - it's brilliant. Think I read about it in Computer Shopper or something. It's tiny, don't think it even needs to be installed so you can just save it somewhere, and you probably won't use it often but it's GREAT when you need to.

It brings up a visual diagram of how your hard disk space is proportionally used by folders, as many levels deep as you like. If you want to know where space has gone (a GIG of firewall logs?!), there it is. Dead quick too.

Yeah it gives you the option during the install to put it on a USB key instead (nice touch).

Tiny Personal firewall seems to get a bit overloaded with P2P stuff I've restricted it to one day of logging instead now..
