Whilst it's easy to toss out the usual quips and sarcastic remarks, what have you guys determined to be the best ways to make a relationship work?
What does it mean to love someone? What is love and what is the practical outworking of it?

i think it is just the willing to make someone feel happy and safe in the world
i suppose the natural form of love is just so u can easily single out the strongest, nicest looking and overal best person to 'get busy with' and strenghen the human race, Natural selection

no, its a hard one to explain actually. I guess you just know when you're with the right person as you both feel equally about the other and it ony gets better when ever you see them...you feel totally comfortable with them around, in fact you wish you could be together more and more and get rid of everyone else around you...perhaps nipping off to a nice island in the middle of the pacific together...I dunno. unconditional love - when you'd both bend over backwards for the other...

Its loving them with unconditional love, being there for them even when everyone else has buggered off somewhere with something more important to do
Feeling comfortable around them, wanting to be with them when your not and wanting to be with them even when u are(if that makes any sense?)
Able to talk, share dreams and hopes.....

love is like when u love and someone else know there is something between u or you have a love of chocolate mcvities biscuits but they dont love u back
when u are in love you think someone is amazing but they dont necessarily think it back and you are obsessed with them

Lust goes like Dairy Milk out of my fridge.
Love is when you've especially put some choccy in the fridge for later and you go back and "someone" decided he was hungry in the middle of the night.
Cuddles make the world go round (and make me sleepy coz i'm nice and safe.)
Love is unconditionally caring for someone even if they're a complete d*** at times.
Love is enjoying doing those little things that you know will make someone happy.
Love is... not being able to put it in words. It's a feeling that I cannot even start to describe.
Love is knowing you'd do anything to make that person happy, even if it means letting them go, love is just wanting to sit and hold them in your arms and talk about everything you ever wanted to, its indescribable, you'll only know it when it happens
i've just been dumped by my fiance, who I though was in love with me. I thought I was in love with him but its made me wonder now. Can you love someone of they don't love you back?
