    sorry,

it was meant as a genuine question with sarcasm thrown in because there have been loads of threads that say "I'm the man but can someone help me do the basics"

The correct way to ask the question without the sarcasm would have been.

You say you're more than capable of knocking up your own site,

But then you say you need graphics, layout and template help ?

What part of "knocking up your own site" are you more than capable of,

eg: if someone does the layout, graphics, and templates for you what else do you need done ?

EDIT: sorry thats still sounds harsh, its not meant to though.

knocking up a website does not mean it will be completely as desired e.g. aesthetically pleasing, functional, well coded, dynamic and so on.. especially when doing so for a business client as opposed to personal interest.
A lot of people who design/develop web sites focus on one part: graphical/layout design and coding/development.
The task at hand may have exceeded tobermans skillset(s), or time constraints may mean he is unable to do this himself, or he may just not want to do it.

I suppose it doesnt really matter so ill just shut up and go on my way now....

No thats, what I was interested in,

What part would he be doing if he needed someone else to do the actual web design ?

I know some good developers but if for example he wants them to do the design, the templates, the graphics etc etc then he just fills in the content and puts his name on it then they wouldn't go for that, or if he was going to work with some dynamic languages behind their designs, then what are they - as that would depend on who I pushed towards him
