Just booked a taster session at Transition Extreme for next Thursday. Looking forward to it.
£15 for an hour and a half and i think that includes all the equipment etc. I'll probably end up joining as well.
Spiderman comes to mind..thats crazy.
g8ina, that sucks
I've also always wanted to have a go at archery, but i don't know anywhere here i can do it.
buy a bow and go out into the wilderness?
not the same really. i'd like to have a go properly
Move to out of that LEDC then?
That's a bummer, but you know it's all upper body strength right? There's a story about this very well known climber in the early 90s, French guy I think, who was entering a competition where the routes could only be accessed by walking up a very steep trail. It took him more than an hour to get up (vs. 10 minute standard) because his legs weren't strong enough and he had to stop for a rest every couple of meters.
There's several indoor walls which are pure overhangs, so if you really wanted to try it I'm sure you could give it a go.

Double thread resurrection.
Did you get into it then Funkstar? Fairly recently got back into climbing myself and it's loads of fun. I'd really recommend it to anyone interested.
Well i joined the place in Aberdeen and went a couple of times. But i haven't really had the time recently to go back.
Also i don't know anyone else to go with so i'm limited to the bouldering, which gets a little boring after a while.
If things settle down at work (actually not likely) i'll go to a couple of group sessions and get to know some people hopefully.
It is good fun though.
