    Re: Arsenal vs Manchester United

It's rather amazing how many people were opting for a close win, the favourite score being 2-1 to man u. There were also rather few takers for Rooney to score first (4 in our shop).

IMO, this whole competition has been a right shambles from the beginning, the teams that should win just don't care, and all the lower sides are getting through.

Oh, Rafa Benitez to be the next Prem. manager to be sacked? That was a disgraceful performance

Most of my friends and family are backing Bristol Rovers to win, they were 200/1 before today's match.

To reiterate the record, I'm not a football fan, of any way, shape or form. I only know these things since I'm a bookie, and my family are all football mad

In the last 17 years the cup's been won 16 times by one of the 'big four'. They want to win it, it's just not the most important trophy to be had. I was rather surprised at today's big game that so many were rested, though from Arsenal's point of view it sounds like they didn't have much choice.

Well done to Man U - excellent performance and thoroughly enjoyable for a neutral.

Regarding Liverpool.... ooooh dear. Is Rafa trying to get the sack? Such a promising start to the season and it's turning rapidly into one of the worst in the last decade.

    Re: Arsenal vs Manchester United

arsenal simply dont give a toss about the carling cup or the fa cup. they played shockingly bad. had we played even decently it would of been a closer game. most if not all manu goals where down to school boy errors by arsenal.
its like gallas and toure have not been playing with eachother for years

MANU are arrogant. they think they can beat everyone but teams like manc and west ham quickly bring manu down to earth.
Were arsenal not the same a season or so ago when they had that stupid amount of games unbeaten?..then who came along and beat you? Manchester United, could this be why you have so much hatred of Man U?

I dont think Man U are arrogant, there like any team when they have had a few decent games or they are on a winning streak, they get arrogant and get in the "We cant be beaten" frame of mind, every team does it and everyone of the "big clubs" in the premiership have underestimated lower teams.

I know it wasnt in the premiership and was the FA Cup, but look at liverpool, beat by barnsley.

they played shockingly bad. had we played even decently it would of been a closer game. most if not all manu goals where down to school boy errors by arsenal.
Maybe they seemed shockingly bad because they were out played by United? Im pretty sure there were alot of fans out there expecting Man U to get beat after their defeat to City, I was one of them.

If you class a team that has a postivie attitude when going into a game as being arrogant, then yeah Man United are arrogant, but surely there arrogance is backed by their performance on the pitch?

IMO Henry was one of most arrogant players going, yeah he was a good player, no one is disputing that, but he also had an arrogant attitude.

Oh and as for Arsenals arrogance, oh please did you not hear Arsene at the weekend blaming the pitch over your defeat? Maybe his snipe at the pitch was so heavily disguised that you never understood it at all as he did it in a roundabout kind of way, then theres the newspaper articles before the match from Gallas stating he was going to rip uniteds attack a new one with his superior skills ?

blaming the pitch which was infact makes a "dirt track" look beutiful does not show any hint of arrogance. do you know what arrogance means? wenger making excuses of why we lost is called being a sore loser. saying somthing like "the better team lost" is showing arrogance.

in teh history of wengers reign as arsenal he as not showed a hint of beeing arrogant unless you and otehrs can gvie me some examples. wenger is known for being a SORE loser not an arrogrant person
