Or 200miles if you are on of the many "London based" man utd fans like my mate at work. Hate to work out how much he spends on petrol each season driving there and back each year

    lol

Wonder if Sir Alex will fall for that document as well

The rumours of Terry going to CIty seem to be gathering pace. From one point of View I think its good business from Chelseas because he is on the way down and getting 50 mill plus for a defender would be great but on the other side if he goes to city then it could be the signing that makes other big players start to take them seriously...

Well, the window is now well and truly shut. I wonder who is the happiest with the business their club has done? Other than Man City of course....

Re: Premier League Transfers Summer 2009

Im pretty happy with our signings including the late addition of David Elm, meant to be a good target man (6"3) nice to have some different options up front. Despite this probably the best deal of the summer for us was keeping hold of Hangeland.

I think Spurs got the best deal on the last transfer day, around £3m for Kranjcar. That has to be one of the bargains of the summer.

Yes, Spurs did seem particularly active. You have to feel for Portsmouth though, with Kranjcar now gone there looks to be a huge lack of quality in their squad. It's just over 2 years since they won the FA cup, and they would have been forgiven for thinking the club could push on up the table. Instead, they're favourites for the drop.

Re: Premier League Transfers Summer 2009

So, no more transfers for Chelsea then......I still don't fully understand what happened. All sites say that they 'induced' a breach of contract, but not sure what that means. Something to do with tapping up I guess......pretty serious punishment tho (even tho I thinks its brilliant they can't buy anyone now, should apply that to City aswell, they've got enough players now....).
As a Spurs fan it was good to see Nico coming to the lane, obv was a emergnecy buy to cover for Modric, but at 3mill I thought it was an amzing deal, Petrov would also have been very good signing, I've always rated both of them.
It's a shame what's happening to Portsmouth, really do hope they stay up.
You've got to have a dream, if you don't have a dream, how you gonna have a dream come true?
