    2011/2012 Premier League season

It's coming soon - I'm just waiting on my season ticket to arrive and I'll be happy as Larry. Any predictions so far?

My main prediction is that come 3/4 of the way through the season Josh will be calling for the head of Wenger. Again

Other than that I can't wait - got a good feeling about Celtic FC this year.

Top 4 will be the same as it was this season. Depends on who buys and sells who what the order will be though.

No sign of any of the big teams strengthening as of yet, other than United, so hard to look past them at present.

If that's the point you were making, then I agree wholeheartedly

    Re: 2011/2012 season

This transfer window is pretty strange at the moment. Lots of rumours and big names being thrown about but nobody has actually gone yet. Sneijder, Modric, Nasri, Fabregas, Neymar, Aguero, Tevez etc etc. It'll get tasty towards the end of the window hopefully.

    Re: 2011/2012 season

Same every year though, to an extent. All the big names are thrown around, because that's what sells papers. Aguero has been "on the move" for at least the last three years.

Apart from Madrid's splurge a few years ago, it's pretty rare for big players to actually make big moves. I'm sure there will be something by the end of the window, but it's certainly no guarantee. Besides, there's a very long time to go, and no football over the summer to get in the way.

    Re: 2011/2012 season

this season will be better for my team hopefully liverpool can break back into the top four but it will be tough.

Blitzen will spend most of the season grumbling that everybody arent real fans as they dont go to watch every game ( and we'll all wind him up about arsenal not winning anything for 6 years)

    will be great fun.

Very worried for arsenal if fabregas and Nasri go thats one big hole they need to fill.

    Re: 2011/2012 season

I am suprised the Liverpool brigade haven't been spouting 'This Is Our Year' yet.

As it happens Dan, i am going to be an armchair fan this year aswell. I can well afford the cost, but with increased tickets prices, uncertainty of 2 or 3 of our key players, and the uncertainty around transfers in, i refuse to help susidise a club that asks for more cash, but cannot demonstrate the investment.

If they do, and i have got it wrong, its back to Silver member for me.

seriously though this is our year to win it

Just kidding those of us that support liverpool that actually know something about football know that this probably isn't our year we are a club that needs to be rebuilt from the bottom up and fix 20 years of mess.

However i do believe we have a good chance of squeezing into the top four this season. We have made some good signings in the summer and strengthened the squad well, And to help us out arsenal have sold there two best players. And then let us beat them at the emirates too.

I honestly think this year that man city have a good chance so many good players but it will probably be between them man u and chelsea and the rest of us fighting over 4th place.

    Re: 2011/2012 season

As for Arsenal, disbelief. £60m+ of sales and they're offering £6m for Gary Cahill and £10m for Phil Jagielka?

    Hmm...

    Re: 2011/2012 season

I`m happy with our start to the season so far

United and City both look very good.

Is it just me or Does wenger seem to be getting even more Stubborn about signings? After the match today when they asked if he would be making signings he kicked off saying thats the british presses answer to everything.

ATM I really do think we will be back in the top 4 and Arsenal are looking like they`ll be lucky to finish in the top 6.
