Bought myself a new toy yesterday!

Decided to treat myself to a mountain bike yesterday, as me and SWMBO are going to France in July, biking with some friends. I havnt been mountain biking for years, so its going to be a bit of a challenge. Bikes have changed a bit 'since I were a lad', so I took the advice of a local place for a bike to best suit my needs and he suggested a Shogun Paranoid. Just need to give it a try now

Just got to get a roof mounted bike carrier for the Furby and were sorted!

No Sensei, i'm not kicking the mats to waste time, they have parted and I don't want to injure myself!

Looks great, out of interest how much did it set you back?

I miss my mountain bike, left it round my mums as i did not have room in my flat and a few months later asked where it was and she said she had thrown it in a skip

Didnt have suspension or a really light weight frame like the you have there tho (Slobber!)

Yeah, I cant wait to have a go again. Although it has been a few years, beers and pies later tbh lol. So I need to be practicing over the next couple of weeks!

I was actually after a Claud Butler Stone River before having a chat with this guy down the road (pass there most days and never noticed the shop before!). He said that they were great bikes, but suggested that Falcon cycles cheaper range, Shogun were better value as you get the same frames and components basically.

This was up for £350, but it is the 2005 model. They have just released the 2006 model so I managed to do a deal and get it for £300. Didnt seem like a bad deal to me anyway.
