How activate change network settings from LCD Management Mode

Hello together!

I have a Thecus-N5200 with firmware 2.00.01.

I have logon in the of LCD direct on my N5200.
I have change the IP-Address in the LCD Management Mode correct, but how I activate the new settings

I have shutdown and restart my N5200 but the new IP-Address is not activated.
I the Display Mode the old IP-Address is show.
If I logon in the Management Mode again the change settings are already exist but the are not activated.

Have I make a mistake or is this a bug in the Firmware?

I think you don't understand my question!
I like only to know how to activate the settings if I have change them in LCD Management Mode?
It's only if I can't access the N5200 by Web-Interface.

To your questions:
Link Aggregation not enabled and no warning in the log.

Hm, I even managed to set the IP and network mask with the LCD and the buttons (the manual doesn't explain it with a single useful word), but there's no way to define the gateway!! Useless!

We returned that crap to the dealer. (Not for this reason, but lots and lots of bugs )

Hi j-f!

LCD Management Mode you can:
- set the IP-Address and the Netmask from WAN
- set the IP-Address and the Netmask from LAN
- Link Agg. Settings
- Cange Admin password
- Reset to factory default
- exit from the Managemnet Mode

In the N5200pro manual you will found on page 19 a little part for the Manament Mode.

Set the Gateway not important for access and configure the N5200.
After you have set the right IP-Address you can logon over the Web-Browser and set the Gateway.
But wihtout the right IP-Address you can only use the IP 192.168.1.100 or the tool from the Thecus CD an this can only configure the WAN-IP-Address.
the LAN-IP-Address is not supported in Thecus CD-Tool.

I hope the little bug with LCD-Management-Mode will be fixed in the next Firmware release!

With all other I can say that I'm satisfied from to the THECUS N5200

Sorry misunderstand your atricle, since we changed the IP address complete, at the blank sing symbol hold the ENTER key for few seconds, and than screen would change to net mask setting, also hold the ENTER key for few seconds and than LCD would show SUCCESFULL for IP changed.

The same procedure I have make already and then shutdown and restart the N5200.
After this the N5200 show the old IP-Address in the LCD

Then login in the LCD-Management-Mode, the changed new Settings will show


I like to tell you that the N5200 not accept changes in the LCD-Management-Mode!
All other is O.K.

Hi!

I just changed the IP address of my N5200PRO (FW 2.00.01) with the buttons on the front panel. I did exactly what Yvon suggested. My LCD shows the new IP address (I also logged in into the web interface to check whether the address has been changed) right after I got the SUCCESFULL. The unit (and LCD) kept the new address after a reboot.

Hence it doesn't work for Thorsten it might be a FW issue between the PRO and non-PRO version.
