No Web GUI since reboot - pls help

Yesterday I uninstalled the rtorrent modual and restarted the N4100+ but since the reboot I can not access the GUI via port 80 or 443.

I can still access via mapped drives and the setup util.

I have tried to reset the Nas as described in the manual and on other posts. Power up then hold reset for 30 secs, or hold rest then power up and release reset on beeb. The IP does change to 192.168.1.100 but the password is as previous.

I have removed all 4 drives, same result.

I can reset the IP in the setup utility aswell.

But the GUI is not accesable through any IP I set the Nas to.

If I set my laptop to 192.168.1.111 and connect directly to the Nas I still cant access the GUI, yet mapped drives and setup util are ok.

If I use the 'Start Browser' tab within the setup util I still get 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage'

I have tried via another pc and a G4 eMac, still no joy.

    Any ideas?

Re: No Web GUI since reboot - pls help

    Dear Sir,

Since we holder the reset button and power up N4100+, after a beep sound for system power up completed, we would found the N4100+ IP changed to 192.168.1.100, and than we need access to http://192.168.1.100 and found a screen with 3 items for use to choose (N4100+ manual page 68), thus we need choose the reset to factory default to reset system setting.

    N4100+ manual: http://www.thecus.com/download/manua..._UM_V10_EN.pdf

If we still unable reset to the WEB page back, please try to back up your data first, and than conact with your Thecus reseller or distributor for RMA service directly.

    Hi Yvon.
I have been able to reset the N4100+'s IP to 192.168.1.100 previously, and I did so again following your above instructions. Hold restet button in, power up, release reset button on hearing a beep. I am still unable to access the GUI.

I have tried a direct cable connection, I can access the mapped drives but not the GUI. I have used Colasoft MAC Scanner to double check what IP is being assigned to the N4100+ it is 192.168.1.100 and the N4100+'s PC and Macitosh setup utilities confirms this.

Is there a way of doing a factory reset without the GUI?

    Regards,
