Normal RMA Timescale for post from UK to Netherlands please?

    Hi Corsair,

I have raised an RMA and posted the faulty ram as per request, having followed instructions on packaging and address labelling.

I posted the ram 18/01/2010 and it is now 27/01/2010, and I would have expected it to have arrived at your RMA centre by now.

However, the RMA web page (using my RMA number) shows that it has not arrived yet.

Is that likely, or is there a back log of items yet to be logged to the system please?

    Thanks

Did you send it signed for so you could check Zak?. IIRC, mine took a while to arrive and be tested etc (was december though) but the return was as fast as you like.

Re: Normal RMA Timescale for post from UK to Netherlands please?

no.. I got to the post office and found that signed for was more than the ram would be worth buying second hand (it's 2x 512mb sticks of DDR 400).. so it went bog standard normal airmail.

I have proof of postage from the Post Office though, but not a tracking number.

It's quite a shame really, the PC has been rock solid for years.. and has two sticks of Crosair XMS and 2 sticks of Value Select.. the XMS is what died.. the Value is still going strong!

    Bump :

    Any news guys?

RMA number available on request... it's been 3 weeks now, and it doesn't show as arrived, so shall I begin a claim against Royal Mail?

Re: Normal RMA Timescale for post from UK to Netherlands please?

thanks Yellowbeard for your kind reply.

I have had an email reply from one of your staff who have kindly forwarded my request to look into it to the european Customer Service team, (4th Feb 20:24) so I will wait a few more days for those guys to try to find the package.

I'll pop back in here if I don't make any progress by middle of next week.

    Thanks again.

I just RMA'd a set of RAM too, it was pretty swift actually. Well as it wasn't my own rig I guess I was counting the minutes haha. I despatched the item via the cheapest Airmail option on 21st Jan. Corsair then stated they received it on 9th Feb, was slightly worried that it got lost in the post but fortunately it was just a delay. It was then despatched on 10th Feb and I received them on 11th Feb. Really fast delivery and replacement as soon as they received it! Kudos to Corsair's RMA service!

24/2 Got my email to confirm that you're about to ship me some replacement ram so thank you

Corsair don't make 2x512mb DDR of that sort anymore so I think I'm getting 2x1gig DDR in place.. so if that's the case, thanks very much

But a quick word of advice for you good people. The RMA service states that I'll get CMC2GX1M2A400C3 in replacement and I cannot find it on your own website.

But I DID find it on Scan's site. So maybe you guys need to list the replacement component in some kind of customer friendly format, because it took me 15minutes to find what it was!
