    Question email scam

Hi, I am in the process of selling our static caravan, yesterday I received an e-mail that looked quite normal asking me the age of the caravan, condition etc, so I replied but not giving away any personal details, even though they did ask for my address which seemed odd, I then received a response,

" Hi Carol , Its nice hearing back from you. I am really pleased with the price and present condition as stated by you. I belived you are telling me the fact, because i cannot come over to your location now due to the nature of my work.

Although, I had explained things to my client who have interest in the Caravan and he has agreed to send CHEQUE for the payment. He's not used to internet that was why i am helping him to purchase it online.

I had also given him my own price and my commission and shipping charges would be included.

ANY AMOUNT THAT IS ABOVE YOUR ASKING PRICE ON THE PAYMENT WOULD BE TRANSFER TO ME FOR THE TRANSPORT COSTS AND MY COMMISSION.

I understand that the payment will clear first before arranging for the pick-up and shippment of the item. Kindly provide me with the following details as below so that my client can send the payment to you.

FULL NAME you want on the payment...?

CONTACT ADDRESS where the payment would sent to...?

PHONE NUMBER to ring you incase i don't access computer...?

As soon as i recieve this info, i will ensure that you recieve the payment within 5days. I will also forward your address to the shipping firm, so as to contact you for the shippment as soon as your Bank credited the money into your account and their transport costs would be paid to them.

Please, I want you to understand that any profit i make from this transaction is how i use to earn a living. I believe this arrangement is clear to you. I am in the United Kingdom. Looking forward to hear back from you. Regards Poter Jon. I
I knew as soon as I read it it was dodgy, I mean how can you ship a caravan?
Does anyone know of anywhere I could report this email scam to?

Thanks for the response, They have sent me another e-mail offering me a cheque well over the asking price of our caravan, £4.000 over to be exact, stating that once in our account I will use the excess for the shipping costs, I also found a site that deals with ebay about a nigerian scam where the buyer offers over the amount for large items they insist they want to buy to be shipped to the buyer, sending a bankers cheque that is paid into the sellars account, that turns out to be fake, but by the time this has been found out the sellar has already paid costs for shipping into an account number given by the buyer, hence the sellars account is now alot lighter. I cant beive they are getting away with it.
