Like wet ice on wet ice...

    People talking about cooling earlier...

...this is something that I captured over at CeBIT that might make you smile

I swear that I thought it was a mirror when I first saw it

Realising that this was the base of a cooler was pretty surprising !

Some kind of new-fangled technology to keep more of the cooler in contact with the chip (avoids 'griddle effect' - see below)

    I want steak....

Couldn't get the video to play properly (codec issue on this machine) but if your description holds true then this could be pretty impressive

    I am suggestive-selling to meself - dangerous !

There was no mention of advanced thermal compounds on this stand - just an 'amazingly smooth surface' that made me drool

They reckoned it would be in the market 'before the end of summer'

The 'steak on a fork' pic (apart from being a damn good advert for fried dead moo moo) was an exageration of a very real problem when you try to dissipate humongous amounts of heat from a chip (no pun intended)

I was impressed with the amount of cocaine they had in that video clip.
