    HD 2900XT coming soon !

At the highest resolutions and the highest image quality settings, this is looking a serious contender for customers who want high-end gaming for under £300

We are being told that the DX10 benchmarks will be along soon as well, so it will be interesting to see how the various cards in this group handle next-gen gaming

That is the whole ball game right there I guess

Anyone who has a 1280x1024 or 1680x1080 type screen is probably going to be happy with their DX9 performance no matter what they get - especially given that cards like the X1950 Pro can cost less than £100 (http://www.yoyotech.co.uk/product_in...61c9bcd194310b )

DX10 should split these big cards up

Wonder when someone will let slip with the numbers...

There names were what and where and why and how and when and who.

(I also had the HEXUS forums on speed dial just in case )

im guessing from these initials the game is splinter cell chaos theory. where did you obtain these benchmarks from? the 8800gts 640 mb scores better in most games with aa and af on hi. maybe things will improve when a better driver is released.

HD 2900XT really seems mixed bag, but u can' really blame because its priced 8800GTS level.
Still seems need some driver tweak though, Things also could be different in full DX10 condition.

"A full round-up of the latest graphics cards, including DirectX 10 tests on Lost Plant and Call of Juarez, will appear in the next issue of Custom PC, which goes on sale on Thursday 21 June."

as you can see from the results ATI's 512mb HD2900XT is beating Nvidias 8800gts 640MB 8800gts due to a new driver.
