    Cooling

Read a article about you guys in Micro Mart Nov 2006 and by what the guy wrote you seemed the kinda place to come for advice before spending the cash......anyway.

I have a Thermaltake Liq cooling case and at some point I will be looking to liq-cool the graphics cards [8800GTX x 2] and was wondering what the best solution to this problem would be as I would like to get to the point of having a fanless or near as fanless pc.

Thanks in advance for any posts.

Depends on how much you want to spend really

At the high end you can get some super-dooper cooling systems that utilise inert compounds developed for the Cray super computers...

...and, at the other end of the scale, there are some great products like CoolerMaster's Aquagate range that definitely won't break the bank

Post some more detail about what you want to do - which components will need cooling - and how much you want to spend - and I am sure you will get more/better help

The Zalman Reserator II has little advantage over a decent set of heat sinks for air cooling.
I also think the ResII will not be able to handle two 8800GTXs better then stock air cooling can, I don't even think the blocks are compatible, they may fit the GPU but you need to cool the power regulators and the RAM as well, you'll need a 8800GTX water block or individual heatsinks which are actively cooled. To cool two 8800s you need something along the lines of dual, double or even triple 120mm fanned radiators for your machine if you want something better then air cooling, this can run quietly so long as you have the right components, eg efficient radiators, quiet pump and fans etc.

YYT unfortunately doesn’t sell any high performance water cooling sets or components; you’d have to go elsewhere for those. I don't think YYT will allow me to list other online shops so if you want info on where to get these, PM me.

I would love YYT to stock high end watercooling components because I often forget some parts when installing custom watercooling gear, I end up having to wait days for it to arrive where if YYT had them I can easily finish the job on the same day .

25°C idle form a 130W CPU?! Where do you live?! Must be somewhere cold.

    Or,

Those temp measurements are wrong, what software are you using to look at your temps?

hi there, bring in new products ranges is also something Yoyotech is looking at doing....

this includes increasing our range of watercooling, in the past we have found the zalman water coolers very good and reliable....
if there are other ranges out there let us now the brands and we can look into bring them instore...

Sorry Mark but the Zalman Reserator is infact outperformed by many many air coolers.
The ONLY advantage it has is silence but then some aircoolers are almost silent aswell.

If you buy 'el cheapo' water cooling (under £170) then the performance is more often than not poor also.
