    just to let you know what to look for on the box ...

    the OLD B3 version has this stamped on the outside of the box : PROD CODE : BX80562Q6600 SL9UM

    the NEW G0 version has this stamped on the outside of the box : PROD CODE : BX80562Q6600 SLACR

    Supposedly, the G0....and as usual it was based on results from engineering samples.


    Now that the G0s are filtering through, I am not convinced. While they may need less volts to be stable at stock (great for HTPCs) it seems that big overclocks still need the same amount of volts as before and they are not really running any cooler or getting better overclocks then the B3 steppings were.


    As usual, a lot of people expect the world because of a few engineering samples, yet once retail hits its the same old story.

    hi there all , well we have finally had the comfirmation that we are getting the G0 stepping q6600, hopefully saturday morning......
    if not they will be with us on tuesday......

    we are all they are going to be in on saturday !!!!!!

    Typical i ordered mine yesterday and it was shipped yesterday, is there any chance mine is a G0?

    If not could i return it and get it replaced with a G0?

    It's the latest revision of the CPU, in a nutshell it uses less power and emits less heat than the earlier B3 revision when run at stock speeds and so in theory should produce higher overclocks, and they won't be in until Tuesday, but as mine has already been paid for I can sit back,crack another beer and watch the fun as the scramble to get one begins.
