    yoyotech trojan

after a few ignores i then get

    http://www.avira.com/en/threats/sect...bpage.gen.html
please explain why avira claims your spreading trojans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for those who have not used or heard of avira premium it has a higher detection rate than kasersky and nod32 as test by http://www.av-comparatives.org/
and has very few false positives.

    Re: yoyotech trojan

My PC detected this a few days ago along with a few other people on this forum. The problem was posted on the Yoyotech forum, and one of their tech guy said they were looking into it. They've still not reported back yet, and frankly, until they do, I ain't going anywhere that site

Doesn't come up in Mozilla Firefox, only in IE7. I get a lot of ActiveX drop down dialogs saying I should try and install an Outlook plugin in addition to the HTML/Dldr.Age.28635 malware detection from AntiVir.

This could be bad for the unsuspecting average user, maybe take down the site temporarily?

    Re: yoyotech trojan

Mine was detected by KIS running FF. The strange thing is, when I went there on Friday using the PC at work running McAfee and IE, nothing was flagged up

this has been reported by us too and they are looking into the issue urgently.

Its not necessarily a trojan, more the code combination they have somewhere matches the detection aritmatic virus checkers are using.

i used firefox when it came up but as since u mentioned it i tried it on IE and it asks for quicktime plugin on mine.

my 2nd scanner avg is now detecting the trojan in my temporary internet files.

    Re: yoyotech trojan

    Nope! Still there!

Just got two scans coming off the X38 Quad GT section...

    Virus Scanner: ZoneAlarm Security Suite
    Browser: IE6
    OS: Windows XP SP2

Detected Trojan-Downloader.JS.Agent.kd & Trojan-Downloader.JS.Psyme.le. Both were inside the photo gallery of the X38 Quad GT pictures....

Interestingly Sophos says the second one is connected to a now defunct mass marketing program

Still, all in all, given the silence of Yoyotech on this there's just no way I'll be using their site for any purchasing or research. I'll just have to be patient until Scan get those X38 boards in stock!

    Re: yoyotech trojan

just went to their page, nothing flagging up here with firefox and Avast! antivirus.

is it a specific page people are getting this on, or the entire site?

    Re: yoyotech trojan

Kasperksy do updates virtually every hour, I did actually send them the file to look at. . . anyway as of today it doesnt show up any viruses maybe because Kaspersky realised it isnt a virus? it maybe as said by someone else - something with similar charateristics as a virus.
