heat they're putting out? what heat?
My P5K + E8400 + 8800GT box has the CPU running at 39 degrees C with the stock intel retail cooler (which is about half the height of the older LGA 775 intel retail coolers).
Been testing a few games and apps and everything I've tried can have it's settings maxxed out on the E8400 + 8800GT box, compared to my Opteron 175 + 8800GT.
I can now run TF2 at 1920x1200 / high + 4xAA where I had to run it at 1680x1050 / medium with no AA.
As I'm waiting on selling some things here I've go no cash left for a better cooler, once I get one I'll try some overclocking and see how it fares. |
