    Using a different carrier?

I see that yesterday's order has been despatched and is being carried by DPD, not City link!

I know City Link have taken a lot of stick on this board but moving to another carrier surprises me and is not ideal for me. LOL City Link have never let me down.

If City Link delivery failed, their collection depot is a few hundred yards from my office.
DPD's collection depot is several miles away!!
    LOL
    Can't have it all ways.

I do like on the DPD tracker though they give you an ETA window of 1 hour....let's see how accurate that is!

Oh well I guess you can't please everyone.

DPD just sub out to other companies up here, Citylink are pretty reliable here too. Oh well.

    Re: Using a different carrier?

I've just put in an order today so I presume that'll come with DPD? I guess the change happened yesterday then? One of my orders came with City Link yesterday.

    Re: Using a different carrier?

    redddraggon

The transition was made during the afternoon yesterday so I presume the order's made before the transition were sent by City Link and the order post are sent through DPD.

This is a pretty major change as we expect some issues, which will be quickly ironed out.. When launching a new service " It's 1 step back, 2 steps forward .

The end result will be a courier service offering much better service levels and delivery options, with a more precise tracking and POD system, benefiting our customer's and ourselves as well.....

There is much more info to come and new services as well....

    Chris

    Re: Using a different carrier?

All our parcels are delivered by DPD who have an exceptionally and consistently high success rate for our deliveries and problems are very rare.
Pretty good service if you've only just switched couriers!

    Re: Using a different carrier?

Just looked for my local depot and the information is very well hidden but I found a list

    EDIT by Chris P ...

    Oldjim

We would prefer not to list the local depot's publicly for security reasons, if you have a carded delivery the local depot is listed on the card, with the contact details. This is why the local depot information is hard to find on the internet and not listed on DPD's web site.

    Best Regards

    Sorry Chris
But I am still dead chuffed that it is only just down the road
