    hehe hiyas...

since i can ping/trace route the servers, do you think its possible that NTL are blocking the IPs OR blocking access to ports 8888? i've emailed them but its like trying to get blood out of a stone. anyone here work for them/know anyone who does?

i'd do a reformat but gotta finish this computing coursework for college next week first

my friend who lives down the road, also on NTL is having exact same problem.. so theres defo a dodgy server along the way somewhere.

and yes EA does still support UO, i should think so since it makes 30+ million a year.

Make sure you have an active connection to the Internet via an ISP or a direct connection.
Your client may not be the most recent version.
You may be able to play the game with your current client.
Check http:\www.uo.com for help on resolving patching issues.
Click OK to play the game or Cancel to abort.

I can't help, sorry... but it's nice to see another UO player or two. I pvped on Europa, Drachs and a couple of the free pvp shards a few years ago. Sold my accounts in 2001 (or 2002...), though

Anyone having trouble connecting to any EA games?

are you in the nottingham/close by area?

    are you on NTL?

    SHOULDA KNOWN IT WAS NTL

Seems NTL dont want anyone from nottingham playing EA games.... bastards!

i say we should gank their asses for this

    edit

Another Thread.. this time its actually UO they cant play

STUPPPIIIIDDDD NTL, god i want blueyonder, c'mon babys come up my street

awh freaking goldly reponse by a NTL techy

"I'm very sorry all for the issues you are experiencing. It's not going to be resolved by a 'quick fix'
This should be fixed early hours of Tuesday morning during maintenance period. Please post on here some more if you are still experiencing issues after 6am Tuesday morning, and sorry again for the obvious inconvenience. Inevitably with a network the size of ntl's there are issues, some easily fixed, some not so easily.
Again apologies to all affected those experiencing browsing issues only to sites mentioned here may be able to resolve them by specifying caches outside of Nottingham PoP, those trying to run other services may be able to resolve them by specifying proxies for those services outside of Nottingham PoP"

TUESDAY? ya mean i'm have to put up with this for over a week? WTF are NTL smoking... and btw it doesnt just effect Gaming, apprantly FTP servers arent functioning either.
