They're not giving a discount to "new" customers, they're giving free delivery to active HEXUS members, which includes new and old customers alike.
If you think about it this way, you'll only need to make another 17 constructive posts and you get the free delivery anyway..

It is not a right - it is an offer.
The reason they are doing this is due to the HEXUS/SCAN relationship.
They have seen how much this community has given them.

I do not have the right to be able to use the sales area, that's why I stopped coming here.

What an incredible gesture. Scan are competitive in their pricing as it is, removing shipping is a no brainer to always buy from them. I find them cheaper and possibly more reliable than overclockers, so well done guys. Big thumbs up
I think it's great - Scan have always been incredibly helpful, and often quite surprisingly so - last major order I placed with them was for a new monitor and primary pc - monitor wasn't in stock - called, and they said they would have stock arriving that day, but may be a day or two before dispatch. placed the order - everything was delivered next day - including the monitor!
If I'd not have had that discussion with the sales guys, I'd have probably gone elsewhere!
Now - they just need to get some Navman products in - I feel like treating myself to a Navman iCN520 Premium GPS jobbie!
filbert: chill man. The point of this offer is basicly Scan saying "thanks for the support over the years hexus, so have a present", if you haven't been supporting Hexus, you haven't been supporting Scan.

Which is why they started the offer. Because the Hexus community has helped Scan a lot with feedback amongst other things and it's their way of saying thanks.
Well I wish I could EASILY find how to activate it. I'm in France right now on dialup (and not cheap) and I'm having difficulty!!! Just to save £10 eh? Still its worthwhiole saving on a couple sticks of Ram. Is it not yet active then? I've scoured the various accounts options and managed to miss it!
how about some of you guys complaining take the time to get involved in the HEXUS community like i have. somehow my posts have built up and i am enjoying every one of them. take the time to fit into the community and you will realise that this offer from SCAN is not the reason to be part of HEXUS but just an added extra to an already buzzing community.
but if you feel that it isnt fair, it doesnt sound to me like people will miss you, so you will just have to take it from me and a few hundred other members, that you my friends are missing out.
