Maybe a delay in the offer taking effect for anyone who signed up after it was announced? They can still sign up and prove themselves for a month or so, and after they have done so and amassed 25 quality posts (that phrase makes me smile) they can take advantage of the offer.
Tough on mirrors, tough on the causes of mirrors.

    Guys

Ok.. This isnt directed at anyone inparticular but already people are starting to abusing the offer ie. ordering 1 item for £5 and the next day ordering one for £4, this is not a ploy to get you to spend more money, far from it, just have a look to see if you have ordered everything before you have finished, i dont want a very small minority to spoil for everyone else, just try and take more time in ordering, "as the longer the offer stays the more benificial to you guys it will be" (Best YODA impression)

    Regards

Definitly think you need to make a minimum order amount to stop this before it costs you money

    Say £25 min

I've read the thread, but I'd rather wait, browsing online lets me change my mind, or add things at the last minute, whereas phoning doesn't, no need to get all uppity

That is the best reply i have got from Martin at the moment.

I will try again to get more from it.

Although the best thing surely would be to stop all those people who have joined from 15th August from using the link, i.e. so SCAN will only accept orders (and free delivery) from those registered before 15th August? Then a list could be provided, which could be used for SCAN to check automatically on the system to authorise free delivery?

If someone wants to use the scan offer, then they must have to prove themselves to the forums, i.e. showing some sort of dedication and willing to stay with the forums. As anyone can post 25 posts in a day.

I'll be putting an order in as soon as I get paid.. I need a nice big fast memory stick for my shiny new PSP

BTW.. if people just register, spam 25 posts, order, then vanish, they will be excluded from the offer.

Likewise if people blatently abuse the system, the free delivery offer can and will be revoked for that person.

People coming in from MSE *are* welcome, but if they abuse the system, then they will be removed.

    Guys

Ok at present it is quite easy for me to monitor the "OFFER" invoices as they have to PM me to get it released, as i stated before it is a "VERY" small minority that have tried to abuse it, also there will be a MINIMUM spend implemented soon, i will speak to David and the MD's here and let everyone know.

    Regards

Hopefully you can make that minimum no more than about 20 quid?
