    Talking usb 2.0 support an9 32x

    Good morning

I'm trying to enable my 2.0 usb high speed support. I have a corsair 2g flash drive thats telling me it can proform faster. It suggests that I install the 2.0 support drivers. I thought that was installed originally with my mobo driver disk. Any suggestions?

    Thank you so much.

It should have installed with the nvidia nforce driver package. I'd recommend that you download the latest ones for your motherboard from the nvidia site http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_...xp32_9.35.html and give these a go, its best to run newer drivers than that included on the disk.

I've downloaded the latest drivers and the flash drive still writes very slowly. I can put it in an older computer w/ 2.0 support and it tears it up. Nice and fast 2.0. Why is this high end, specialized board not doing the thing?

16 minutes for a 700mg file. Way to long. I could burn one and watch it before this one writes,....

The message I'm getting is, you must add a high speed usb host controller to this computer to obtain maximum performance.

Does this happen on all USB ports or is it localised to the front or rear ports?

First of all you dont need USB drivers for XP SP2, they are built in to the OS. At this point I would go in to device manager and delete all you USB root hubs, reboot the system and let XP reconfigure them.

Ok Lvcoyote,...... I just recovered from your suggestion. I uninstalled the first usb root hub and lost mouse control. Could not start in safe mode. Was locked out of my pc. Except that I'm hard headed, I might still be without my gurl. That did not resolve the USB 2.0 issue.
