    IP35 vs IP35 Pro

    Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the IP35 and IP35 Pro

For my next board im not after anything fancy, just the abiility to do RAID with the ICH9R. Not interested in overclocking either. I just want a good quality dependable board.

Is there any reason to get a pro over the standard board?

With a Core 2 Duo E6750 running at 1333mhz fsb, which ram do i need? Is it just a case of everything will work with 533 DDR2? any benefits on getting faster ram?

    Cheers,
    Rick.

there are benefits from getting ram up to 667. 800 have hardly any pros over 667 if you don't overclock.

    cheers!

    Re: IP35 vs IP35 Pro

From what I can see IP35 only has solid caps on VRM and around CPU (Pro is entirely solid), the heatpipe isn't linked up to the southbridge (Pro does), it only has one physical 16X slot (so no Crossfire support unlike IP35-Pro which has a second physical 16X, electrical 4X), no E-SATA (2 on Pro), one Gigabit LAN (dual on Pro) and no CMOS reset switch on the rear I/O.

    P35 doesn't support DDR2 533 - 667/800 (it will do higher too but there isn't a JEDEC DDR2 spec higher than 800).

    Re: IP35 vs IP35 Pro

You should at least buy 667 Mhz DDR2 too, cos 533 isn't even fast enough to run in sync with the E6750s FSB.
