Cheers Meercat
I have test coretmemp on more than one make of board, both on the Ip35 pro and a DFI board! Wthis is witha wolfdale CPU 8500 (water cooled) coretemp is 10C out on ALL of the boards)
SO at this moment in time I would recommend realtemp be used to measure cpu temps.
Wil furnish you wish a screenie tomorrow
Thanks for the screenies Meercat, good job

Well .. no worries about that Gilga .. but if realtemp is right about temps, then I am a very happy man. A q6600 running at 52 on full load at 3.33Ghz .. who couldn't be more happy.
on water
a q6600 and a hot b3 at that is 36c on idle and around 46 on load at same frequency
so air possible add 10 c ontop of that
so considering my test was a hot b3, that sounds about right.
oh and remember lavasys everest uses the same type of sensing program as coretemp, so though they both see it as exactly the same, they are both incorrect.

I forgot to say that the results I have shown are for a g0, gilga
LOl you also forgot to mention if you are on water or air.
if you are on water those temps are a little high, bud judging by your Delta of 23c, it looks like you are on air, so yes 52 counds about right.
To put things in perspective......
I have a 8500 wolfdale and the idle temps on water for this is around 31c, coretemp reports this as 42C. If you think about it, there is no way a 8500 on stock volts and using a PA120.3 and PA12.2 radiator, with a liang ddc ultra pump (with plexitop) and a d-tek fusion block, idles at 42c! This shows theat coremp is WELL OUT!
