The BIOS is reading 2800 Mhz (200 x 14) even though it is set at 215!! Now, if I immediatly reboot again and go into BIOS, it will read correctly at 3000 Mhz.
So, if I turn my PC off for a little while and then turn on again, I have to go through this double reboot procedure - first it reads 2.8 Ghz, second reboot it reads correctly at 3.0 Ghz. If I allow the PC to go into Windows, it will show 2.8 Ghz and then if I reboot again, Windows will show 3.0 Ghz. So the BIOS and Windows show the same thing.
My PC is stable and runs great, but this is annoying. This is the only setting in the BIOS that does not "stick". I've replaced the MB battery and that did not help. Cool n Quiet is disabled too.
Thanks for any help!
