Them beeps are standard, and are graphics card, try reseating it, giving her a blowout, and see if it works.

Try another card if possible after this, just to confirm that everything else is in order.

    The error code is 8.7
I have replaced mobo with another one from asus and kept all previous parts and everything is working fine.So I don't think that it is graphic card neither powersupply problem.
Furthermore reading the forums I 've seen that there is a recall for some serial Numbers of Fatality and unfortunately it includes mine.
    S/N FAN93UDD000329.
    Should I RMA it??
    Thanks again for your time.

9.9. just means that the mobo has completed it's shut down - it's the codes before that that are important to diagnosing.

and that my friend is the problem, its flashes 8.3. then 9.9. and shutsdown, but with it being listed on the recall list - I dont hold much faith in the board to go messing with other bits to see. As the fault for it to be recalled could have reared its ugly head again....

i've tried numerous times to see if I can see any other codes - but it flashes way to quick for me to see.

8.3. is probably a PSU problem - what are you using?

iirc the recall was over the heatpipe attachment.

ok, i've changed the power supply to a Tagan TG800 and still no joy, so I went out and bought another AN9 32x Fatal1ty (sucker for punishment). Installed it and the board lights flash and I get error code 9.0. now it definitely aint the motherboard / power supply and i'm looking elsewhere, any chance the original board has buggered my CPU ? as most forums state 9.0. is possibly a CPU prob...... if it is then I aint too happy with Abit, as its a pain in the ass, and will certainly make me wonder on Abit's again.....

can anyone shed some light on this and try to cheer me up....

Well spent some money and went to town on the problem......

bought new - Memory, CPU, Graphics Card, PSU, AN9 32x Fatal1ty.

Original AN9 is dead - wont boot with new cpu
Original CPU is also dead wont boot either boards

New CPU (AM2 4200+ X2 )works fine on new board but not on old board
Old CPU (AM2 4600+ X2) wont boot on new board

finally come to the conclusion that the AN9 original is duff ( on the recall list anyway) and could have taken my CPU with it........

will RMA both the board and the CPU (AM2 4600+ X2)

been an expensive xmas period and hopefully my troubles are now over (been and touched all the wood in the area)......
