ab9 pro, can't fill all 4 slots with RAM on XP in normal mode

Hello all, this is my first post so go easy on me.

I should point out that I'm pretty much a noob at this. I built my pc up about a year and a half ago and it's worked fine. When I built the system, I only put in 2GB ram because that's all that I needed at the time. I'm doing lots of graphic work at the moment so I decided to go ahead and fill up my memory slots and got an OCZ quad kit that is 4x2gb (OCZ2P8008GQ).

Here's the situation. If I put all 4 sticks in I will get a blue screen after about 1 minute after I log in on XP Pro x64 in normal mode. The error is a page fault in a non paged area. If I boot in safe mode, it doesn't blue screen. I also have Windows 7 beta installed on a second hard drive, and I can boot into it with all 4 sticks installed, and the system properties will say 8GB ram. I went into the bios and set all the timings manually, but I still get the BSOD.

From my Googling reasearch, it sounds like a windows component or startup item is causing the issue, but I don't have the time right now to go chasing it down. Is there some way to log what is getting loaded into memory up until the blue screen? The built in windows system log isn't much help to me (I can only get technical up to a certain point). The only thing I can come up with is to go into msconfig and start unchecking services and startup items until I can get all the way started up and then figure out what to do after I narrow it down. Is there a better way to figure this out?

since I know it will come up, my system as it is

    Mobo: Abit ab9 pro
    Processor: Intel core2 Quad 2.4GHz
Memory: OCZ platinum 4x2gb5 (only running 2x2 at the moment)
Graphics Card: Nvidia Quadro FX 3500
OS: Windows XP pro x64, Windows 7 beta

Thanks for any help you can provide

    -James

Seeing as though you're using 4 DIMMs you may need to slightly bump the northbridge voltage.

Also, download, burn, and run memtest on the RAM to make sure the sticks are fine

It passes the windows 7 memory test without any problems. Is there another one I should try? Also, how much can I bump that voltage? I'd like not to fry anything since I do use it for work sometimes.

    Thanks

EDIT: Ok, so I downloaded memtest86+ and ran it on the two sticks that I have installed for 2 hours and I had one error. I'll try some other configurations and see if I can't narrow it down. Does one error warrant a return?
