    External Sata raid with A-N78HD

    Hi
I notice that there are two sata raid connectors on teh mobo but I can't find my manual. Can anyone let me know how these connectors are used please and whether they can be used seperately for 2 seperate raid arrays?
    Thanks
    David

    Don't worry, he's spamming

As to your query, i would have thought that you would use one drive on each connector and then RAID the 2 drives (requiring a RAID card for a larger solution or multiple arrays). of course, i could be wrong...

Re: External Sata raid with A-N78HD

    Hi

I did sort of solve the problem by installing an external raid box - HOWEVER...

I now want to use the the two sata sockets on the mobo (5 & 6) for an onboard raid array. I've put in two 500gb drives and connected all up but they are not seen. I wnet into the bios and did as it sort of says in teh manual but then lost all my other drives except the IDE boot drive!!!

Can someone please point me to an idiots guide to using a sata raid on this mobo (A-N78HD)

    Thanks
